New mobile ticket vending machines for the low-floor trams of Braunschweiger-Verkehrs GmbH

After Braunschweiger-Verkehrs GmbH awarded krauth technology the tender for the ticket vending machines in 2017, the ticket vending machines have been in active use on the light rail vehicles of Braunschweiger Verkehrs-GmbH (BSVG) since summer of 2019.

The production, delivery and commissioning of 100 mobile ticket vending machines AK0328 including the connection to the back-office system via the HUSST format, as well as to the downstream system SAP R/3 formed the essential part of the order. In addition, BSVG received a monitoring system for the remote maintenance of the vending machines and a newly developed sales application.

After a demanding project phase, krauth technology and the customer have now succeeded in bringing the project to a successful conclusion and supporting the BSVG in implementing a new sales channel with the customised solution. Since then, all tickets in the Verkehrsverbund Braunschweig have been sold via the new mobile ticket vending machines from krauth technology, thus completely replacing the previous ticket sales via the driving personnel.

„With the new ticket vending machines from krauth technology, we are replacing ticket sales by the driving personnel in the light rail area and creating the basis for further acceleration of our tram operations with, in some cases, significantly reduced passenger changeover times," says Jörg Reincke, Managing Director of BSVG.
